As part of a school exercise at the CLCF (Free Conservatory of French Cinema), I asked students to create a storyboard based on 4 products (fictitious and real) to choose from.
-The NPNG 2.0 (No Pain, No Gain), a smartphone for sportsmen.
-Chocolate P'TIT PIRATE, for children (or "big" children ^^).
-OR SAHARA, a luxurious and exotic fragrance.
-CLCF, a film school! ^ 0 ^
I also did this exercise, not in order to show them THE solution, but to make them ONE proposal among many others of staging. While showing them the visual/audio vocabulary to use for this or that plan.
No limitation of budget, but the advertisement had to last maximum 40 seconds, to comprise 10 plans maximum (included the final pack shot), and of course, to find an original idea, relevant, coherent in relation with the product. Not easy but fun to do, I think (in any case, a lot of students had fun ^^)
